Since 2011, thousands have taken part in the biggest and craziest Fat Tuesday for miles around, right here in Durham. There has been cold and snow and ice. There has been tutus, dragons, and mermaids; a King and a Quing and a Queen; aerial artists, yoga, and bicycles. All followed by amazing bands with music from Louisiana and North Carolina and everywhere else to boot. 2017 will be no different – Durham Mardi Gras continues bringing you the best of New Orleans tradition with a big helping of North Carolina flavor!
